Residents of a variety of ages from 55 to 95 occupy each location. Some of our residents are primarily independent and others require more support. We are here to provide as little or as much care as needed.
While we are not able to offer transportation services ourselves, we are happy to set up rides for activities and/or doctor visits as needed.
We have 24 hour awake staffing, and doors are locked in the evening. Recording cameras are in common areas at all locations. Some locations include door and window locks.
We have one staff member per 5 or 6 residents at all times both day and night. 24-hour awake staff are always available.
Staff receive 12 hours annual training per DHS and MN Dept of Health requirements.
Golden Bay Homes is required to provide a bed, nightstand, dresser, mirror and a closet. We encourage residents to bring all their personal furniture and decorations to make it feel like home.
Residents in our homes enjoy a variety of activities including beautician visits, exercises, baking, games, movie nights, crafts, and more.
Our staff prepare all home cooked meals. Menus are created with the help of our residents. We do accommodate some special diets such as diabetic, gluten free, or salt free though there is no dietitian on staff.
Residents’ families are kept informed by their preference of phone, email or text. Frequency is determined by the family.
We do accept dogs or cats at the discretion of the owners. The residents must be responsible for all vaccinations, food and care.
Family and friends can visit anytime between 9am and 9pm. Under special circumstances or during end of life, family are welcome anytime.
Golden Bay Homes does not provide any supplies for oral care. If special soaps or lotions, or special foods are needed, the resident is responsible for purchasing them.
